Heavenly Father, oh dear Lord, there are a lot of good and wonderful people who are in so much danger during this storm that is going to attack the East Coast in the US and even Canada this evening. Protect them God, watch over them and keep them safe. Shelter the babies and the children from the terrors of tonight, watch over those that are afraid and give them comfort in this storm..

I know.. maybe a bit odd to start my blog post with my little prayer, but my heart goes out to all those dear people out there. Please continue to pray for Grace over this world, here close by and far away.

French Foliage peaceful card by Stampin Up and me

    Hi dear Stampers.

I am happy you found your way back here to my blog. I so enjoyed creating these 2 cards the other day, I had hopped over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges and this is what their # 162 challenge was all about:

Make a card that to you represents peace or calm; with an image, color scheme, CAS layout or verse, something that speaks peace to you. The card has to speak peace through your own style.

Wow, how I loved creating this card for this challenge. And the cards the ladies of this Challenge have created are so sweet and inspirational, just like their little devotional they shared with us.  Please hop over to their beautiful blog to be inspired!

If you would know me a little,
than I think you knew that while you were looking at these 2 cards, that it is my style of creating cards, right :)
Does it speak 'peace' to you?

I love how the images and the softness of these cards bring out (a bit) the beauty of Gods creation. I know.. nothing can be compared to His creation.. but I tried :)
As a family we love being in His nature, to soak up all the beauty He has placed in Canada!
We are blessed to live in this gorgeous country!

I also would like to ad this card to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge blog #141, where it is all about Fall this week. As always they have the most gorgeous cards displayed on their blog. Please take a peek, you will not be disappointed :) It's such a great place to just get a huge smile on your face after seeing all the beauty that is there.
Thanks ladies for this challenge.. it was just what I needed to get going!

Here is another version of this type of card :)

Isn't this birds nest super lovely? It is from a beautiful retired Stampin Up set: Feathered Hope.

The other images that you see are from the current French Foliage Stampin Up stamp set. (#121166 - $17.95, see page 86 of you Stampin Up catalogue) Or click on this link to visit my online Stampin Up store to purchase this beautiful set.

Create the romance of a leisurely fall afternoon spent in a French café writing thoughts and impressions in a journal with the images in this set. With French script and ink spatter backgrounds accented by life-like leaf and post mark accents, you can create beautiful cards.

Well, I have to leave it short today, as I have lots of cutting to do for the upcoming event.
One more week. I am so excited :)

    Have a beautiful Sunday tomorrow!
    Inky hugs, Pauline

    For today's card I used the super sweet Pleasant Poppies Clear-Mount Stamp Set (# 129499 - $16.95)

Extra-large stamp will make a graceful statement on cards, over sized tags, and scrapbook pages. Try water coloring this lovely image using an Aqua Painter and a Classic Stampin' Pad for a look that's all your own. Stamp coordinates with the Floral District

Perfectly Perserved thank you notes, by Stampin Up and me

    Hi dear Stampers.

    How is your Wednesday going?
The days are flying by here. I can almost not keep up with them.
So much to do in so little time. But.. I am happy that I am almost done prepping these little beauties for the Card Buffet.

Aren't these the cutest little things? I just adore them.
They will come with those cute little Very Vanilla coloured envelopes. Just so perfect!
I love having little thank you notes in my card storage. They always come in handy!.

I will show you how they got their nice clean cut around the image.

With the Big Shot machine, you can create die cuts with any of our exclusive Stampin’ Up! dies—or any Sizzix die. The Big Shot machine comes with Standard Cutting Pads and a multipurpose platform so you can start cutting immediately. From crafting to quilting and everything in between, the Big Shot is a big deal!

The "little felt cover for the top of the jar" was cropped to perfection using the Perfectly Preserved Framelits Dies and my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
The dies can be used seperately to cut a single shape. Because of the open design of the dies, you can put them where you want on a stamped image for perfect placement.

    To use Framelits:
    1. Place the felt or cardstock or paper on a cutting pad.
    2. Position the Framelits dies on the card stock, placing them raised-edge down. (The cutting edge should be against the material to be cut)
    3. Place a cutting pad on top of the Framelits
    4. Place the Cutting Pads on Tab 2 of the Multipurpose Platform.
    5. Run through your Big Shot.

Here it comes rolling through :)

I love felt.. I wish I knew how to create my own felt stuffies.. But this will do. I layered 2 pieces of felt and added my framelits die on top of them.

    And voila!

I love handy tools, that make card making easier and more fun :)

SAVE 15% ON THE PERFECTLY PRESERVED BUNDLE!

    Just for you!

Well.. again a whole lot of photo's. I hope they help you to understand how this whole Big Shot thing works. Youtube is a great place to do some research as well!

Well, enjoy the rest of your day.. I am off to make some Mexican food.

    Inky hugs, Pauline

    About me

Hi there and welcome to my Pursuit of Stampiness Blog.

My name is Pauline and I live with my dear family in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I have a good, full and fun life. I am blessed as a mom of our 3 precious kids and I am a lovely wife :) to my sweet hubby. I love to hang out with my dear friends and family.

I so adore God, He means so much to me! He helps me to be who He created me to be.

About 2 years ago I realized that it was important for me – and for my family! – that I take some “me time” to do the things I enjoy.
Hanging out with my friends to stamp and to make personal cards are right at the top of my list! So, here I am! I’m making the time to do what I love. I became a Independent Stampin up Demonstrator & I so love it.

Yip, that is me in this beautiful Canadian Country.

And just like Ellen always says:
    'Be kind to one another!'

Pss: If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me, I would love to hear from you and connect to you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun viewing my blog.
    Inky hugs, Pauline

Christmas and Birthday card by Stampin Up and me

Good Monday to you dear Stampers,
I hope you had a beautiful weekend!  We sure did here in Calgary.

This morning I wanted to create another card for the Card Buffet that is coming up on Nov. the 4th.
12 of the sweetest ladies have already reserved their spots and spaces are filling up quickly, so if you would like to come, please let me know and I can prep the cards and tags for you as well.
We would all love to connect with you and create with you.
For $30, you will be able to create about 15 beautiful cards. And with an order of $60 on that day, your price of creating the cards will be only $20.

Isn't this a wonderful clean and simple card? The options are endless. I will have many different strips of beautiful Designer Series Paper ready for you to put together
and glue to a piece of card stock.

This morning I visited the Our Creative Corner Challenge site. Their theme of this week is:  'Clean and simple Kitchen. They encouraged us to create something that is seen in the kitchen. Well what about some yummy cupcakes? They are always a hit in our kitchen.

After adhering it to your card stock,
you can grab a Stampin Up punch and snap it through the layers.

When your heart is full, you often want to show it. Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect. The Full Heart punch is a classic heart shape you'll love for years to come.

    ■ Add interest to scrapbook pages and cards
    ■ Has an easy-to-use thumb lever

Here is a Christmas theme version of this card!
I so love the bright Real Red colour that Stampin Up offers.

I used the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #57 that LeAnne created for us, for these cards. Simple and elegant. Love it! She has a talent for creating beautiful and elegant cards. And her comments always make me smile. She is such a sweet heart. And I only know her from her blog and from the little notes she ads to my blog. They are so genuine and encouraging. Please visit her blog at: http://weeinklings.blogspot.ca and send her some love! You will be blessed by all the beauty on her blog. She really shares from her heart!

Both the  punches (the star and heart) are now retired.

But the good news is: Stampin Up just restocked their clearance rack and guess who showed up there for a way better price.....

    (#113693 - $13.79)
& With the clearance rack you never know when things are sold out, so if were planning on purchasing this beauty.. please click on the link above to visit my Stampin Up online store.

I love little cute things on my cards.
Here you see a tiny little tag, that I punched out with my Stampin Up Jewelry Tag punch.
     (#117190 - $15.95, see page 183 of your 2012/2013 SU Catalogue)

Well, time is flying by again. I better get some vacuum cleaning done in this house..
I would love to hear from you.
