Just my type by Stampin Up and me

Vintage typewriters are hip--and so is this retro-themed, seven-piece Stampin Up 'you're my type' stamp set. Sentiments rendered in a classic, typewriter font fit perfectly on the typewriter "page." Coordinates with our nostalgic Attic Boutique product suite.
Set Quantity: 7

Hello there, dear Stampers.

When the Occasions Mini Catalog first came out, I knew this stamp set was a must have for me!!

I love everything about it. The cute little sentiments that I can ad to the typewriter page are just the best. And don't you love that tiny library clib that I used to ad the mini tag to my card? As you might know, I have a thing for small and cute details and these embellishments are simply perfect!

It's a small post today for me.. I have been so busy these last few weeks. But I am happy that I got to share this card with you today. The layout that I have chosen for this card comes from the Mojo Monday Challenge #233. Please check out this blog! It is full of so many gorgeous ideas!

Have a great weekend, Inky hugs, Pauline

Stampin Up Scallop Circle banner for Zoe

I love how buttons can add so much 'love' to any project

For those sharp looking Letters on this cute banner, I used the Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies from Stampin Up. (#113464 - $183.95 for 7 Dies) The letters are approx. 2'' x 2''. I bought them with the 30% birthday discount, Stampin Up gave me as a demonstrator. I love being spoiled.

Don't you love the Pool Party color in combination with the Early Espresso colour letters?

Hi dear Stampers.

How is your week going? Spring is here in Calgary.. Not sure for how long.. but all te snow melted away and there is sun and wind.. but sun.. I love it!

I wanted to show you this cute banner that I created for my dear friend Angela. She is one of the best moms I know. I am so proud of her. How she hangs in there and loves on her little daugther. Do you remember that I wrote about her little one being so sick. I am so thankful to be able to tell you, that her daughter Zoe (who's about 7 months now) is slowly doing a little better. She had a bone marrow transplant a couple of weeks ago and it engrafted. Zoe's immune system was so broken before and she kept having fevers and her body just started to break down because of the HLH disease. Now since the bone marrow transplant her body is slowly functioning again. It is such a miracle. I am so happy for this little girl, but also her parents. Here is a link to Angela's blog. She is an amazing writer and she has such a great heart.

Angela asked me to make some sort of banner to hang up in the hospital room where Zoe had to stay full time for the next couple of months. I wanted to create something cheery and beautiful. Zoe's name means life.. So I thought the 2 of them for sure needed to be in the banner. I loved creating this for her. I felt honoured that she asked me to create something for her Zoe. And she loved it. I hope it will brighten the room in that hospital a little each day.

The Stampin Up scallop Circle die (#113468 - $24.95) that I have, really helped a lot in making this banner. Can you imagine what it would be like, if I had to cut out all the details myself through that thick cardboard :) Yip, that's right, I have a big crush on my Big Shot :)

The Paper Players have one fun challenge #87 for this week. They are encouraging us to create something with buttons. Well .. it so happens that I love using buttons. Can you find them in this banner. The add so much beauty to it. I love it.

Well it is another day today and I am enjoying my daily routine. Getting up, being amazing and going to bed again later.. :) I'm just kiddin'. I hope you will have one beautiful end of the day where ever you are!

Pattern of Friendship by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

What can I say. I love paper piercing. Especially with this retired stamp set 'Pattern of Friendship' by Stampin Up. It always does the trick for me. I hopped over to the Moxie Fab World Blog and there Tuesday Trigger Challenge had so many inviting colours in it, that I couldn't wait to play along. The picture showed a real serene and simple elegant living room in the most gorgeous neutral colours. These 2 ladies on the card that I created today would totally fit in. I am sure that they would love to share a tea there on one of the inviting and comfy chairs.

As a base I used the Daffodil Delight card stock from Stampin Up. I should use that one more often. It is so pretty. It has the warmth of Spring all over it. Did I mention that I was sitting in the yard this afternoon.. in the sun... I know.. Spring is in the air here in Calgary, Alberta. So exciting.

Well, I gotta go.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Hello.

Tiny tags by Stampin Up

Aloha dear you.

How have your weeks been? A couple of days ago we arrived back from our family trip to Kona - the Big Island of Hawaii. What a blessing it was to be there in the sun and the smell of beautiful flowers. To spend time with my hubbies parents and to have time to relax and enjoy the outside world without our winter clothes. We did so many things that I had never done before. We swam with about 30 dolphins.. Just like that! We went snorkeling and happened to run (swim) into these beautiful Spinner Dolphins. It was one Epic profound experience. They were so close to me.. and in their own environment, free and happy. I touched Lava.. I know.. never thought I would be interested in doing that. But it was new and .. different and unreal.. and black :) I tasted Kona coffee and went to a Coffee plant. Loved it. We picked real (yip real hahaha)Avocado's from the trees. They were so yummy and I made so SO many photo's.. I can fill a whole blog with them :) . Don't worry I will not bore you with them.. just a couple.. to make you smile :)

Anyway.. I can go on and on.. But I will not :) (sigh).. It was just so beautiful to be there.

I have to say that it is weird to be home again. The suitcases are unpacked.. the clothes are washed.. (yip not put away yet :), groceries are bought and normal life is part of our rhythm again. But it's good! I am excited to connect to our friends again.

This morning I walked into my craft room and thought.. I need to make a card. I WANT to make a card. I got so excited once I started again and this is what I came up with. I used the colour inspiration from this weeks Paper Players #86. They encouraged us to use 'Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Pear Pizazz as the colours. Loved using those colours. Thanks Lesley for the inspiration. I hope you'll like what I came up with.

Well.. I am off to bed.. This time change is making things kinda funny in this household. But I am tired, so off I go.

Inky hugs, Pauline
