Henry says chalkboard card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love LOVE how this card turned out.

The other day the UPS man delivered my white craft ink pad from Stampin Up, along with some other yummy new goodies.

So when I saw the Friday Mashup Challenge # 101 of this week, I knew I wanted to play along with their Chalkboard technique Challenge.

When you take a good look at the 'Henry says' Stampin Up stamp set, (#128093 - $26.95) you can almost smell that dusty chalk on those vintage old chalkboards. The lines on the images of the elephant and the sentiments are kind of drawn in a shaky way, if you know what I mean. Just perfect for any chalkboard card you want to create.

It was seriously so easy to create this chalk technique. I didn't do any embossing. I just inked up the image in the whisper white ink and I stamped it on my Basic Black card stock.

I also sponged the edges of card stock a little with the white ink as well, to create some nice contrast in this card. Then I wiped off  the excess ink with some tissue. After that I lightly sponged around the images and in blank areas with my Whisper White Craft ink to create the look of chalk dust.

And there you go..

Henry is ready to celebrate his new chalkboard look!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did creating it.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Square Scallop Fancy Fold card with mini tutorial by Stampin Up and me.

Hi dear Stampers.

We're counting down to the final days of Sale-A-Bration Stampin' Up!'s biggest promotion of the year. It officially ends on March 22, 2013. Today's card includes some of my favorite SAB freebies .

Please click Here to find out how you can earn your Free gifts during SAB.

So today I wanted to share with you a quick and simple Fancy Fold card.

To start it all  – you need to take a 12” x  4 3/4” piece of card.

Score Landscape at 4 1/4” and 7 5/8” and bone fold ( one as a mountain and the other as a valley)

Then, place the folded panel on your Scallop Square die (# 115950 - $26.95) with the folds placed one scallop in from either side. Please note that the elevated fold to the LHS is placed one scallop in from the LHS..

Isn't it the cutest thing? I love it!

And it is just the right size to write a little thank you note to that special one in your life, that needs a little pick me up...

Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Large Square Scallop Bigz clear die lets you can see the image you want and position it precisely before cutting. This die works wonderfully for cutting photos in a fun shape or for creating a focal point with a specific area of a Designer Series paper pattern. The scallop square shape is perfect for many projects, such as frames, journaling blocks, and accents.
■ Creates a 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" scalloped square
■ Can cut through multiple sheets of card stock, Texture Cuts wood sheets, window sheets, and more
■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot machine and standard cutting pads
■ Die size: 5-1/2" x 6"

I also rolled my Latice Die through my Big Shot.

Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Lattice Bigz die create delicate designs from any card stock, Designer Series paper, or other material. Use the Lattice design as an elegant overlay or a focal piece on your project. This Lattice die was designed as a repeatable image, allowing you to create beautiful designs on larger projects as well.
■ Can cut through multiple sheets of card stock, Texture Cuts wood sheets, window sheets, Décor Elements sheets, and more
■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot machine and standard cutting pads G281
■ Die size: 5-1/2" x 6"

Lots of detail, but it still gives me that fresh and simple look what I so love

on my cards.

And yes, I am positive that I have used this cute little sentiment already way to many times on my cards since Sale-A-Bration started.. But it is just so perfect! And it fits so well in so many of my SU punches.

The inspiration for my card came from The CASE Study Challege # 132. And oh boy, did these Ladies rocked this brilliant challenge of this week. Loved all their cards!

If you would like to receive this SAB Vintage Verses stamp set (#129633) from Stampin Up for free,

Elegant Butterfly card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Thanks for popping by.

Today's Clean and Simple card uses the colour combo from

 the Stampin' Royalty Challenge #167.

The lovely ladies encouraged us to use the colours: Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Soft Suede. I was kind of out of the last one, so I picked something that came the closest - Crumb Cake. Always a hit in my books.

I love a quick and simple card and my SU punches helped me just to do that, this evening.

Don't laugh, but I think that I have used 7 different Stampin Up punches for this card. I know, I am spoiled.

Can you spot them?

Yip, this is Elegant Butterfly Punch (#127526 - $21.95) is one of them.

Hi dear Stampers.

What can I say, I love my layers on my cards.

So here you have it, many, many layers of beautiful colors and papers.

I used the Colour Queens colour Challenge #179 of this week as a my inspiration and then I went from there. I love the Layout I came up with. You should see my desk.. I tried so many different things and layers and then I chose this.. Not sure why, beside the fact that it just makes me smile when I look at it :)

Now, before you hop over to the next blog :) I just wanted to share one amazing deal that Stampin Up is offering right now during their Sale-A-Bration 2013.
Until March 22, you can receive $264 in SU products for only $125. No shipping or taxes will be added to this price.

The way to receive this, is to sign up as a demonstrator.  This means that you have the freedom to take advantage of this deal and never order from them again if you don't want to. You don't have to hold any parties, workshops, etc. You don't have to let them know that after receiving this deal, that you don't want to be a demo any more. If after June 2013 you have not ordered from them again, they will just automatically kick you out of their computer system. It is that easy. No phone calls or letters to explain yourself.

In the past couple of years I had many sweet Calgarians (but don't forget anyone within Canada is welcome to sign up with me) sign up this way and receive beautiful products for a very low price.

The other beautiful thing is. You have the FREEDOM to order anything you like from the catalogue up to $194. It could be the Big Shot with some gorgeous dies or embossing folders, maybe you would like to just stock up on some card stock, or ink pads or ribbon, or pick only stamp sets, etc.. there are no rules, you can pick, it's like having your own little party!

You will also receive $70 in business supplies, which are real fun, So $194 + $70 = $264 in SU products...

Just click on the 'JOIN MY SU PALS' button, (even if it is only for this one order :) and this 'click' will bring you to the website where you can join. Click then on 'JOIN NOW' and this will bring you to the form that needs to be filled in to take advantage of this beautiful deal.

And if you would like to stay active as a hobby SU demo, I would of course love to help you out as well.

On your first order after you have signed up, you will receive a 30% discount on everything you order. (makes me want to sign up all over again)

+ until March the 22 2013, for each order of $60 you will receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration item of your choice.

So when you place a $200 order you will receive 3 FREE products + $35 in hostess dollars which will give you even more FREE products. Stampin Up is very generous that way. (+ you have the 30% discount on the $200)

I know, isn't it the best! Let the creativity take off!

And with the new catalogue coming up soon, you will receive all the info way sooner, + you get to order months earlier than anyone else :)

Anyway, I would love to connect, create or hear from you. But no pressure, if you never want me to contact you after you purchased this beautiful deal. I can do that too. :)

Psss: The sentiment that I chose for my card is one of the stamps that comes with the stamp set 'Vintage Verses' that you can earn for FREE when you place an order with me for $60 during Sale-A-Bration 2013.

Lattice Die - Fancy flower punch card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers,

I had some time last night to create. Oh, I love when that happens. We had a whole load of snow on the weekend here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and after plowing way to much snow away, I was happy to crawl in my warm and cozy studio and leave everything that was on my 'to do list' behind me. (sigh)

At SU regionals last Saturday they taught us how to create some different 3-D flowers. I have to say, these flowers are just so so sweet :) & I am in love!

So today's card for sure needed a flower :) right.. I punched 2 flowers out of my Summer Starfruit Stampin Up card stock (#126839 - $8.50 for 24 sheets), with my Fancy Flower Punch (#118073 - $22.95).

The next step was to spray them with some water and to crumble them up.

After that I opened them up again and glued the top flower to the bottom flower by using mini glue dots. + One of the gorgeous and super cute Sale-A-Bration buttons of this year to finish my flower off.

My Stampin Up's Lattice Die (#115958 - $26.95) never disappoints. I rolled it 3 times through my Big Shot with 3 different papers. After that, it was like making a puzzle on my card. I mixed and matched the little pieces that were cut so nicely and I glued them on to the base of my Pool Party card stock.

These 2 Challenges inspired me to create my card last night.

LeAnne from The Paper Players gave us one beautiful Challenge #135 for this week with the 'In stitches'theme - So anything sewing, stitched was welcome. That's how I came up with my quilt idea for my card.

And the lovely ladies of the Friday Mashup #99 gave me a great palette of colours to work with.

Please hop over to their blogs to see what the design teams have created. And for sure leave them some love. They so deserve it!

My Layout inspiration came from the 'Elke kaart een Feestje' Challenge #157. I turned the sketch upside down and turned the squares into circles and this is what I came up with.

I love visiting dutch blogs.. As you might know, I was born and raised in The Netherlands and to be able to participate with other dutch creative people, really makes my day :)
